Job Description
The Renew Europe Group is seeking to recruit administrators to support its parliamentary work unit. We are currently looking for candidates with expertise in the following policy areas:

Foreign Affairs/Foreign interference & Democratic resilience

Employment and Social Affairs
The administrator fulfils a supranational function within the Renew Europe Parliamentary Group Secretariat and assists Renew Europe Members in the carrying out of tasks which, within the context of organisation of the Group, may include:
-
assisting and advising Renew Europe Members with regard to the work of the relevant committee and/or unit, with an emphasis on our group ethos and policies;

participating in the regular legislative work of parliamentary committees;

drawing up of politically and technically coherent Group positions in the main fields of activity of the European Union;

management, organisation and follow up of meetings, information and communication tasks;
-
liaising with other units within the Renew Europe Group secretariat;
-
other activities necessary for the successful functioning of the Group (e.g. press, communications or networking aspects).
These duties require a good knowledge of EU institutions and the various political systems within the European Union as well as political skills and instincts. The duties also necessitate the skilled use of various IT equipment.
The post of administrator in the Secretariat of the Renew Europe Group requires great availability (for example high frequency of meetings, irregular working hours), flexibility, adaptability to varying workloads, as well as an ability to work well in a team in an international environment. Suitable candidates must, among other things, be capable of grasping wide-ranging issues, be able to respond rapidly to changing circumstances and communicate effectively.

Job requirements

Candidates must have at least a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma, or where justified in the interest of the service, professional training of an equivalent level;

Experience in one of the policy areas outlined in the job description;

A thorough knowledge of one of the following languages: English, German (language 1);
-
Candidates must also have a very good knowledge of English (if not language 1) and a good working knowledge of French.
Additional criteria, which would be an asset:

Professional experience in the European institutions;
-
Good knowledge of the political activities of the Renew Europe Group and its Members and affinity with Renew Europe’s policies;

A good working knowledge of other languages of the EU.
