The Left in the European Parliament is looking for a stagiaire to join our communications team from May to October 2026.

## ABOUT US

We are a Left-wing political group in the European Parliament fighting for workers, climate action, feminism, peace & human rights.

Our group is made up of 46 MEPs from across Europe representing over 10 million voters. The successful candidate will help promote the activities of our MEPs and spread our group’s political messages by working in our communications unit on the following areas: social media, and multimedia & audiovisual, as well as general support to the team and its mission.

### ALLOWANCES

€1495 per month in addition to arrival and departure travel costs with complementary insurance.

### LOCATION

European Parliament, Brussels with the possibility of a familiarisation trip to Strasbourg during a plenary week.

## TASKS

– Assist with work on: content for social media, video & photography, and design.
– Generally assist the overall work of the unit depending on weekly agenda as discussed in planning meetings.
– Develop a broad understanding of the overall work of the LEFT group by working with a diverse range of MEP offices, following key meetings, and liaising with policy advisers and committee staff.
– Learn key skills from unit staff and the group

## PROFILE

– Political affinity with values of the group.
– Knowledge of modern communications, audio-visual, writing skills, social media, & design. Good command of software used for video editing & photography is an asset.
– Good English and intermediate level in one of: French, German or Spanish. Other languages are an advantage.
