## Are you ready to be part of something great?

Do you want to help transform supply chains and drive change for forests, nature and people?

WWF-Belgium is looking for a **Business Officer Forest** to join the **Policy & Business** team. In this role, you will work with companies, sector actors and policy stakeholders to help tackle deforestation and ecosystem conversion linked to Belgian consumption and production. You will contribute to corporate engagement, advocacy and project delivery, with a strong focus on responsible sourcing and supply chain transformation.

## Deep dive into the role

– Develop and implement engagement activities with companies and sector actors on deforestation, ecosystem conversion and responsible supply chains
– Build constructive relationships with companies, business platforms, federations, NGOs and policy stakeholders to support sector transformation
– Engage priority sectors, with a particular focus on agricultural commodity supply chains such as cocoa, and encourage concrete commitments and improvements in practices
– Contribute to advocacy efforts aimed at improving policies, market practices and business accountability linked to deforestation and sustainable sourcing
– Translate technical sustainability topics into clear positions, practical recommendations and tailored messages for companies, partners and external audiences
– Prepare and coordinate meetings, workshops, roundtables and bilateral exchanges with corporate and non-corporate stakeholders
– Represent WWF-Belgium in external forums and help strengthen the organisation’s visibility and credibility on forest and supply chain issues
– Draft and review briefing notes, reports, presentations, position papers and other materials that support engagement, advocacy and outreach activities
– Work closely with colleagues across teams to ensure alignment between policy, business engagement, communications and project objectives
– Contribute to the planning, follow-up and reporting of projects, including timelines, deliverables, budgets and donor requirements where relevant

## This is a good match for you if

– You have a higher education degree and bring solid relevant professional experience in a role linked to sustainability, corporate engagement, advocacy or responsible supply chains
– You have professional working proficiency in English and are fluent in French or Dutch; you also have a good command of the other national language
– You have experience advising, influencing or supporting corporate action on sustainability topics and can build strong relationships with different stakeholders
– You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and know how to turn ideas into action
– You work in a structured and results-oriented way, with strong project management skills and attention to detail
– You communicate clearly and can translate complex technical topics into accessible and practical messages
– You have a good understanding of global food commodity trade and supply chains; familiarity with responsible sourcing approaches and policies linked to deforestation, conversion and forest degradation is a strong asset
– Knowledge of commodities such as cocoa, soy, palm oil or coffee, as well as experience in an international environment, is an asset
– You adhere to WWF’s values, which are: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration
