We are seeking a skilled and proactive Communications Officer to join our Communications Team. This role will focus on driving awareness campaigns and managing communication and dissemination activities within EU-funded projects. You will play a central role in amplifying the voices of digestive cancer patients across Europe, strengthening our digital presence, and ensuring the delivery of clear, engaging, and impactful communications.

Title: Communications Officer
Location: Remote (Europe) or Brussels
Role Overview: 70%-80%

Key Responsibilities

Awareness Campaigns

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement awareness campaigns aligned with DiCE’s mission and values.
  • Support creative concept development, messaging, and multi-channel delivery.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign outcomes.

EU Project Communications

  • Lead communication and dissemination activities in EU-funded projects where DiCE is a partner.
  • Produce engaging, accurate content that follows project guidelines and timelines.
  • Coordinate with project partners to ensure compliance with EU communication standards.

Graphic Design

  • Create and adapt visual assets for digital channels, campaigns, publications, and events.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all materials.

Team Contribution

  • Support the Communications Manager with internal planning, media relations, and event coordination.
  • Contribute to editorial planning and storytelling initiatives.
  • Updating the website

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and social media platforms.
  • Proven experience working with Creative, Media, or Web Agencies.
  • Proficiency in WordPress.
  • Advanced design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.

Desirable

  • Experience in the non-profit or health sector.
  • Knowledge of patient advocacy and EU healthcare policy.
  • Previous involvement in EU-funded projects.
  • Willingness to explore new digital platforms to strengthen DiCE’s visibility.
