DNV is seeking a strategic leader to represent the organization in Brussels and lead our engagement with EU institutions and key European stakeholders. This high-impact role is central to shaping DNV’s public affairs strategy across Business Areas and the Group, ensuring that policy and regulatory developments are well reflected in our business development and service offerings.

Your Mission

As Director of EU Government and Public Affairs, you will be DNV’s principal representative in Brussels. You will lead strategic relationships with EU institutions, agencies, NGOs, scientific bodies, and other stakeholders. The role is supported by an external GPA consultancy in Brussels and collaborates closely with colleagues across Europe, Washington DC, and Singapore. You will report to the Director of Group Government and Public Affairs at DNV HQ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead DNV’s engagement with EU institutions and European stakeholders

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on policy and regulatory developments relevant to DNV’s business

  • Share DNV’s expert insights with EU institutions and stakeholders in Brussels

  • Build and sustain networks across the EU public affairs ecosystem

  • Coordinate meetings, events, and stakeholder activities in partnership with Group GPA and Business Areas

About you

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate who brings:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline

  • In-depth knowledge of EU and national political processes across member states

  • Proven experience in or with public administration and political institutions

  • Around 10+ years of professional experience, including:

    • government administration or a relevant NGO

    • global corporate environment

  • Fluency in English and preferably at least one additional European language

  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities
