We are looking for an EU Energy and Climate Policy Specialist to proactively contribute to our Brussels team’s work through the drafting and publishing of studies and policy briefs, managing related projects, organisation of events, and expanding EPICO’s network. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be held in-person or online, and on a rolling basis.

Reporting to: Director for EU Affairs
Location: EPICO Brussels, Rue du Commerce, 72
The main tasks will include:
- Drafting positions, documents, analyses, briefings, and supporting communications content
- Designing, monitoring, and coordinating specialised studies with cooperation partners
- Continuous observation, analysis, and evaluation of developments and facts in climate and energy policy at the EU level
- Participation in and organisation of specialised consultations and appropriate event formats
- Participation in external events and consultations and representation of EPICO
- Create and strengthen EPICO’s strategic network in Brussels
Essential Qualifications:
- An exceptional understanding of the EU’s energy and climate ecosystem, and an existing network.
- Good and critical understanding of political and economic contexts in the field of the EU’s energy and climate policy.
- A master’s degree in a subject related to EU policy, Economics, Energy Policy (or equivalent).
- Excellent command of English.
- Team spirit, attention to detail and respecting deadlines.
- Proactive and creative mindset.
- Open-minded, empathetic and communicative personality, and can identify with EPICO’s mission and values.
Desired experience/skills:
- 1-3 years of work experience in the field of EU energy policy.
- Good command of German and/or French.
- Related experience in the private sector and/or EU institutions.
