The European Health Management Association (EHMA) is the only membership association in Europe that brings together the full health ecosystem of health managers, informal and formal caregivers, patients, legislators, educators, policy makers and regulators, public health experts, researchers, health insurance experts, and industry. We coordinate projects, events and initiatives aimed at creating a clear health vision and alignment strategy, as well as lay down the organisational, societal and technological conditions to achieve optimal health outcomes for individual patients and the entire community. About the position

To build excellence in health management we lead initiatives including research projects, working groups, policy and communication campaigns, and events. We are organised in three departments: projects, policy, and operations. The Senior Management and the Management teams provide leadership and support to all departments.

The successful candidate will be part of the Operations Team and support the full portfolio of EHMA’s events and communications. They will contribute to the promotion of conferences, workshops, and project activities, and the dissemination of research and policy outcomes that advance effective health management across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, organisation, and delivery of EHMA events, including the Annual Conference, workshops, webinars, and internal meetings.
  • Assist with event logistics such as supplier coordination, participant communication, travel arrangements, and on-site or online support.
  • Contribute to EHMA’s communications and marketing activities by drafting content for newsletters, social media, blogs, and promotional materials.
  • Help maintain and update EHMA’s online channels, ensuring timely and engaging content.
  • Support the dissemination of project results and research findings through targeted communication to relevant audiences and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships by providing excellent customer service and engagement support.
  • Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and evaluating outcomes of events and communication activities through data collection and analysis.

Profile

  • You are an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a strong interest in events and communications.
  • You have some prior experience or academic background related to event planning, communications, or marketing, and are eager to develop your skills in a professional, international environment.
  • You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a proactive and solution-focused attitude.
  • You have good interpersonal and teamwork skills and enjoy collaborating in a dynamic and multicultural setting.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Office tools (including Teams and SharePoint) and familiar with online meeting platforms and digital communication channels such as social media, newsletters, and websites.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a keen interest in learning how to plan and promote events, engage diverse audiences, and support dissemination activities.
  • You are adaptable, professional, and willing to occasionally travel within Europe to support EHMA’s events and activities.

Job package and eligibility

  • This position is offered according to Belgian national legislation. It is a full-time position of 38 hours per week with a fix-term (6 months) internship contract (CIP – Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle).
  • For this position, the monthly net salary is €1,200. The post will combine in-office and remote work. The successful candidate will be supplied with necessary materials to work remotely, as required (e.g., laptop).
  • All applicants must be qualified, eligible and able to work in Belgium, and are required to be based in Belgium.
