The current vacancy is for Strategy and Impact Directorate, Member States Partnerships and International Relations Unit, whose mission is to manage DG JRC’s relations with its institutional and scientific strategic stakeholders in Member States and in countries associated to Horizon Europe and with international partners. Its activities aim at supporting JRC excellence in science and at raising the profile and reputation of the JRC through the coordination of the JRC outreach strategy.
## WE PROPOSE
Reporting directly to the Head of Unit, the successful candidate will play a key role in the financial and operational management of the Unit, ensuring administrative support across its activities.
He/she will provide operational and administrative support to the JRC Board of Governors, under the authority of the Secretary to the Board. This includes coordinating logistics, managing meeting arrangements, and ensuring the timely preparation, distribution, and archiving of all relevant documents and information for the Board of Governors.
Additionally, he/she will support the Head of Unit in supporting the organisation of other high-profile stakeholder events such as the annual NCPs conference, workshops, and other conferences ensuring seamless execution from planning to delivery.
He/she will be responsible for planning and executing the budget of the Unit, with advice and information on commitments and consumption. He/she will initiate orders and oversee the payment of invoices and experts. He/she will assist in launching, managing and monitoring call for proposals, tenders, evaluations, selection of projects and award procedures, and then follow-up contract performance.
## WE LOOK FOR
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our team in Brussels.
The successful candidate should have:
– A university degree, with two years of relevant experience (preferred);
– At least two years’ experience in budgeting, finance or contracts in the EU institutions and/or an international setting (desirable);
– At least two years’ experience in logistic support and organisation of meetings and events (desirable);
– Strong interpersonal skills;
– Excellent analytical skills and a proactive attitude;
– Fluent (C1) of English proficiency and an independent user (B2) of French (essential).
