General Information
Culture Moves Europe is a European cultural mobility scheme that has been running since 2022. In the 3 upcoming years, 7,000 artists and cultural professionals will receive a mobility grant in all 40 Creative Europe countries. Funded by the European Union, it is implemented by the Goethe-Institut.Be part of this fascinating endeavor to promote the internationalization of the creative and cultural sector in Europe!
What awaits you?
Support to Grant Team (50%)
Under the responsibility and supervision of the Senior Grant Coordinator and together with the other grant officers, the tasks include:

Support the external evaluation processes: eligibility checks, collection of invoices from experts, etc.

Send notifications and general messages through the Goethe-Application Portal/email to applicants and grantees;
-
Liaise with beneficiaries regarding their specific questions, support in the preparation of contracts and amendments to contracts, etc;
-
Check the status of mobilities and update internal tracking with changes;
-
Support in organization of content and folders, archiving;
-
Support with compiling data together with the Monitoring and Evaluation officer;
-
Participation in team’s meeting and brainstorming.
Support to Communications Team (50%)
Under the responsibility and supervision of the Senior Communication Officer, and together with the other communications officers, the tasks include:

Support in social media management;
-
Support in document editing;
-
Support in liaising with communication subcontractors (e.g. printing, video makers, etc.)

Support in mapping success stories;
-
Online mapping of potential relevant networks;
-
Support with the organization of online info-sessions and other events.

Participation in team’s meeting and brainstorming.
Depending on the project’s needs, you could be involved with the work of other teams.
What sets you apart?

Interest in developing knowledge and skills on grant management and for the cultural and creative sectors in Europe;

Interest in sustainability and/or inclusion topics;

Good IT skills, especially standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook);

Positive ‘can-do’ attitude and creative problem solver;

Strong organisational skills, eye for details, and ability to prioritise;

Excellent command of written and spoken English;

German and other foreign language skills would be an advantage;

Ability to work well independently and in a team with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds.

What we offer you
The Goethe-Institut offers its staff a varied and meaningful job in a modern office building in the heart of Brussels, characterised by openness, curiosity and diversity. We enable flexible time management via the already established possibilities of mobile teleworking, which is supplemented by teleworking allowances. In addition, the Goethe-Institut offers numerous opportunities for further development through internal and external training. Furthermore, permanent employees of the Goethe-Institut receive supplementary hospital insurance to cover them in the event of damage and benefit from some special features of Belgian labour law, such as a 75% reimbursement of travel costs when using public transport, or Km money for bicycle kilometres and automatic wage indexation. The Goethe-Institut Brussels offers a starting salary of 3,339 € to 3,748€ for the advertised position.
