Junior Project Manager

Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the Junior Manager will be responsible for the delivery of UITP’s Academy services. The position will contribute to the development and delivery of the portfolio, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and on-budget. The position will focus on the well-established programmes.

The Junior Manager will work closely with the Business & Product Development Unit and liaise with the Events Operations Unit for logistical arrangements.

  • Project management (planning, budget, procedures, resources, etc.) for approximately 30 classroom and/or online courses per year to be organized as open calendar or as in-house. This includes the management of eLearning programmes and Study Tours.

  • Develop comprehensive MyProjects and the preparation of budgets for UITP training programs with input from the Business & Product Development Unit.

  • Manage the preparation of training materials, ensuring logistical arrangements are in place for printing and distribution in coordination with the Events Operations Unit.

  • Coordinate with local hosts and handle trainer management to support the delivery of training services.

  • Facilitate the preparation of training reports and analyze evaluation surveys to improve future training projects and update the Product Manager.

  • Implement, organize, and deliver courses on-site, including the supervision of the logistics, as well as the quality control of content and organization.

  • Active participation (deliver and moderate) in the training sessions (online and on-site).

  • Help with Methodology & knowledge management: coordinate with experts, develop workshops, support PPT developments, trainer development, etc.

  • Support the development of UITP Academy services.

  • Fulfill responsibilities and tasks according to the corporate values of UITP.

Job Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Strong public speaking abilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and collaboration skills; able to work both independently and as a valuable team player.

  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • IT literate.

  • Willingness to travel internationally.
