## About the Citizen Engagement and Culture Change team

Our Strategic Communications & Culture Change team delivers advice to ECF programmes and partner organisations and leads grant-making centred on building strategic communications capacity that impacts narratives and grows public support for climate action.

## About the role

As Operations Assistant, Strategic Communications your role will be to support the Strategic Communications Team with a range of operational tasks.

## Key responsibilities

**Management support:**

– Organise calls and meetings for the CECC Directors, grantees, partner organisations, funders and other stakeholders;
– Provide administrative support to the CECC Directors when needed;
– Support the ECF CECC Directors in monitoring the department’s budget;
– Coordinate different internal communications;
– Coordinate new joiners induction meetings and help with other new joiners tasks.

**Meetings / event management support:**

– Support the design and organisation of events and offline and online team meetings/retreats including note taking, logistics, internal and external communication, venue booking, travel arrangement and expense reimbursement, etc.

**Team support and coordination:**

– Responsible for information management for the team: ensuring team members keep up-to-date centralized notes and files; recording team meetings; maintaining platforms for internal information sharing;
– Support the team with the development and update of tools and processes to enable effective collaboration;
– Support procurement processes including reviewing and analysing products and services, communicating with external suppliers and maintaining updated records of contracts;
– Support contracting and liaise with internal operations teams;
– Support other ad hoc administrative, logistics, outreach and research tasks.

## Experience and competencies

– Genuine interest in the mission and values of the organisation;
– Strong interest in climate, the environment and strategic communications;
– At least 1 year of work experience in a similar administrative/operational position;
– Excellent communication skills, including fluent spoken and written English;
– Familiarity with meeting co-ordination and stakeholder management;
– Excellent attention to detail, diligence and reliability;
– Proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other online collaboration tools;
– Excellent planning skills and ability to use initiative;
– Flexibility and capacity to prioritise and manage own workload.
