ABOUT US
Energy Cities empowers cities and citizens to shape and transition to future-proof cities. We showcase concrete alternatives deployed by cities, advocate for changes in political and economic governance at all levels, and foster a wide cultural change leading to a future-proofed society. Energy Cities’ community is composed of local leaders from thousands of cities in 30 European countries.
We believe that the energy transition is about more than renewable energy or great technologies: It is about a wise use of resources while strengthening local participation and well-being in a democratic Europe.
Energy Cities team is governed according to holacratic principles. Holacracy is a method of organizational governance based on decentralized management. Holacracy relies on collective intelligence and avoids having the organization under the influence of personal feelings or tempers of top managers.
