The Good Lobby is a non-profit civic start-up committed to equalising access to power for a more plural, inclusive and democratic society. We provide strategic advice, capacity-building and research to civil society, activists, progressive businesses and philanthropies. Our mission is to democratise lobbying and empower social-change actors to influence EU policy.

We are looking for a Policy and Education Intern who is:

  • A Lobbyist: you know how to monitor and research policies, and you know how to craft strategies to make change happen;

  • A Researcher: someone who masters strategic research and is able to provide clear, well-founded insights and solutions across a variety of different topics.

  • A Facilitator: someone who aims at being understood, a bridge-builder between different environments (e.g. academia, public sector, private sector, philanthropies)

The selected candidate will report to our Policy & Education Manager.

The challenges we will propose to you:

  • Manage different projects at the interface of Advocacy and Education to the benefit of civil society actors.

  • Campaign for civil society actors on a wide range of policies e.g. human and social rights, health, environment, energy, animal welfare, corporate governance;

  • Advise and train people in lobbying and advocacy

In particular, our Policy and Education Intern will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Policy and Education teams in their research activities;

  • Supporting the development of educational materials, helping to organise events and meetings;

  • Contributing to drafting policy briefs and reports, and performing other tasks as needed to advance the objectives of both teams;

  • Conducting outreach to CSOs, Academic Partners, and other stakeholders, strengthening The Good Lobby’s network and collaborative initiatives;

  • Providing general project management and logistical support for ongoing projects and new initiatives as needed.

What we are looking for our Policy and Education Intern:

We are seeking a motivated and curious person who is enthusiastic about civic participation and social impact. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in policy, education, and advocacy work;

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn on the job;

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal;

  • An ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed;

  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills;

  • Comfort using basic office digital tools

What we offer:

The Good Lobby offers a six-month paid internship under the framework of the Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (CIP). There is a possibility of extension.
