**LLLP is looking for a Policy Assistant.** The successful candidate will be a team player, eager to constantly learn, able to work within a multicultural environment and in a membership based organisation.
## Job description and tasks
### Policy support (90%)
– Support the policy team with research and analysis of current policy initiatives
– Monitor relevant developments in EU legislative processes
– Communicate on policy initiatives and relevant developments to internal and external stakeholders
– Draft and disseminate reports, briefings and info notes for internal use
– Draft and disseminate the advocacy newsletters for LLLP members
– Liaise with the communication team for external dissemination and with the project team for aligning project outputs to the general LLLP policy objectives
– Attend and report on relevant meetings on behalf of LLLP without speaking duties
– Minute taking at LLLP policy events – Erasmus+ Coalition, internal working groups, flagship events, policy events of LLLP projects
### Admin (10%)
– Support LLLP in the organisation of events
– Archive and file relevant documents created for policy and project colleagues
## Essentials
– A post-secondary degree in the field of European studies, project management, educational sciences, political science or related discipline and/or relevant work or volunteer experience in education or in the non-profit sector
– An excellent command of the English language (spoken and written)
– A keen interest to work on EU policy and initiatives
## Highly Valued
– A genuine interest in lifelong learning, education and training
– Good writing and analysis skills, with the ability to adapt own language to the target audience
– Good digital skills and media literacy
– Experience with communication tools, such as WordPress, Mailchimp, Basecamp and Social Media
– Knowledge of EU funding programmes (especially Erasmus+)
– Knowledge of additional languages
## Terms & Conditions
– **Position:** Policy Assistant
– **Reports to:** Policy and Advocacy Manager
– **Duration:** 6 months, with possibility of extension.
– **Capacity:** Full-time, i.e. 37.5 hours/week
– **Location:** Rue de deux Eglises 14, 1000 Brussels, Belgium. Home-working arrangements are possible for 2 days/week.
– **Contract type:** [Contrat d’Immersion Professionnelle](https://www.actiris.brussels/fr/citoyens/convention-d-immersion-professionnelle/) (CIP), subject to approval by public authority, or Erasmus+ scholarship if applicable.
– **Remuneration:** 1056 €/month (above 21 years of age) or 865,90€/month (below 21 years of age) under CIP; remuneration under Erasmus+ grants [varies](https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/programme-guide/part-b/key-action-1/mobility-projects-for-higher-education-students-and-staff) depending on the support received.
– **In addition to the above remuneration, LLLP covers local transport costs in Brussels and offers an allowance for meal vouchers.**
