## Role Purpose

Greenpeace European Unit is recruiting a political campaigner on EU tech regulation to drive ambitious change at the heart of Europe, at a time when regulating big tech is more urgent than ever.

Widespread misinformation, monopolistic power, data extraction, and online violence call for accountability and a renewed public interest approach towards digital infrastructure.

Based in Brussels, the political campaigner will conduct Greenpeace’s advocacy work on big tech, pushing for bold EU regulation by identifying critical political opportunities, guiding high-impact campaigns, and mobilising coalitions to ensure digital power is held accountable to people and the planet.

We are looking for a driven and experienced professional with deep policy expertise at the intersection of tech, democracy, and environmental justice, ready to step up Greenpeace’s work on public-interest digital regulation in the EU.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the most defining policy debates of our time within a global organisation.

## Key Responsibilities

– Identify key regulatory battles on big tech where Greenpeace EU can make the most difference
– Develop and implement advocacy strategies on big tech
– Maintain active relationships with EU institutions and representatives

– Align EU-level work on big tech with broader Greenpeace priorities and campaigns
– Draft briefings, letters and other advocacy material for EU audiences
– Partner with other NGOs, civil society and advocacy networks
– Act as spokesperson in media and public forums on relevant EU political issues

– Proven fluency in policy analysis and writing
– Knowledge of EU decision-making processes
– Several years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated ability to develop and execute advocacy strategies
– Strong networking skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
– Fluency in English and at least one other European language

## What We Offer

– A strategic and high-impact role shaping EU policy at a critical moment for digital regulation
– The opportunity to work at the heart of European decision-making in Brussels and contributing to policy that will define our collective future
– A collaborative, international, and purpose-driven team in Brussels and a network of colleagues and offices across the world
– Competitive NGO salary ranging EUR 4,700 – EUR 5,900 depending on experience
– Competitive benefits package, including pension, health insurance, meal vouchers, transport support, and extra paid holidays
