The EPC is looking for a Programme Assistant (equivalent to a paid internship) to join its European Politics and Institutions Programme for a period of six to twelve months starting in October/November 2025.
This is an entry-level position targeting recent graduates and those with initial work experience gained through internships. Applicants need to have the right to work in the European Union. Programme Assistants may work at home a couple of days a week if needed, but presence in the EPC office is required.
The successful candidate should demonstrate knowledge and interest in the themes covered by the programme, including: EU institutions and decision-making, internal reform, EU enlargement policy, the Western Balkans, the rule of law, illiberalism and democratic backsliding, and citizen participation.
Profile

Undergraduate or graduate degree in Political Science, International Relations, European Studies or other social sciences;

Strong interest in European affairs, European integration and EU institutions & decision-making;

Good organisational and time management skills;

Self-disciplined, with a spirit of initiative, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment;

Detail-oriented, flexible and efficient, with strong time management and organisational skills;

Excellent English language skills (oral and written), additional languages are a plus.
Main duties

Events support: reach out to speakers, draft and send invitations, liaise with EPC events and comms teams, welcome participants, and carry out logistics-related tasks on the day of the event, among other tasks;

Administrative support: draft and send emails, make calls, arrange internal and external meetings, take notes and prepare meeting minutes or summaries;

Basic project management tasks;

Conducting background research and providing briefings to team members.
