Projects Internship

ECG, the Association of European Vehicle Logistics, is a leading non-profit organization representing the interests of the European vehicle logistics sector. Since 1997, ECG represents over 200 member companies and partners, ECG advocates for the interests of businesses ranging from family-owned SMEs to multinational corporations. As the major champion of the European vehicle logistics sector, ECG engages at the EU level across all transport modes—road, rail, maritime, and fluvial.

Our members deliver comprehensive transport, distribution, storage, preparation, and post-production services to manufacturers, importers, car rental companies, and vehicle leasing operators throughout the EU and beyond, including Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Turkey. The association’s members operate an extensive fleet, including over 470 car-carrying ships, 14,000 purpose-built railway wagons, 23 river barges, and more than 26,000 road transporters.

ECG is looking for a motivated Projects Intern to support its various working groups and projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in association management, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination within the European logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of ECG’s working groups, including meeting logistics, preparation of materials and follow-ups.

  • Support ongoing projects and initiatives, conducting research, gathering data and preparing reports.

  • Help maintain and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Engage with members and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, briefings and reports for internal and external use.

  • Support event planning and organization, including workshops, webinars and meetings.

  • Monitor industry trends and policy developments relevant to the sector.

Requirements

Education:

  • Recently completed a degree in Business, International Relations, Logistics, Political Science, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Fluency in other European languages is a plus, e.g. French, German, Italian or Spanish).

  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital collaboration tools.

Personal Attributes:

  • Interest in European affairs, logistics, and sustainability.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
