The European Cockpit Association (ECA) is the representative body of professional pilots at EU level, speaking for over 44,000 pilots from national associations across 33 European states. From aviation safety standards to crew working conditions to cybersecurity, ECA shapes the policy debates that affect the people who fly Europe’s planes – and we’re looking for a communications strategist to make sure pilots’ voices are heard.
If you can write an op-ed before lunch, brief a spokesperson before a crisis hits, and still find time to obsess over campaign analytics – we want to talk to you.
What you’ll do
- Design and run integrated advocacy-related communication campaigns – from strategy to execution to impact reporting
- Translate dense policy into stories people care about
- Own ECA’s media relations: build and maintain relationships with Brussels, European, and international press, and be the first point of contact for journalists
- Write press releases, briefings, op-eds, and talking points, and prepare spokespeople for interviews and media appearances
- Lead digital advocacy, social media, website content, and audience growth across all channels
- Direct and supervise video and visual content production – briefing, scripting input, and creative direction for our content creator – to ensure campaigns land with strong storytelling and visual impact
- Advise senior leadership on communications strategy
