European Ombudsman

The European Ombudsman is an inter-institutional body of the European Union that investigates complaints from individuals, businesses, and organizations regarding maladministration within EU institutions, bodies, offices, and agencies. Operating within the public administration oversight sector, its role is to promote good administration and ensure transparency and accountability at the EU level. The organization has offices in Strasbourg, France, and Brussels, Belgium.
The inquiries officer in the Ombudsman's Office must necessarily have a very good command of English. The documents concerning the call for expression of interest are therefore only available in English.
Candidates are informed that they are not allowed to contact personally members of the Selection Committee and that doing so constitutes grounds for disqualification from the procedure.
