Are you passionate about creating and coordinating intersectional programmes that bring LGBTQI youth from across Europe together to learn, connect, and collaborate on creating meaningful change for our communities? Are you an expert in the management of international events, projects, and grants? Then you’ll most likely want to join our team in Brussels as our full-time Programmes Manager!

The IGLYO Programmes Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all of IGLYO's programmes, including the Activist Academy, international conferences, webinars and online workshops, capacity-building programmes, study visits, the IGLYO Grants Programme, and other programme-related activities.

Through this role, you’ll also be responsible for grant management and fundraising, line management of two staff members, and, as a member of the Management Team, you’ll contribute to IGLYO's strategic direction, organisational planning, coordination and decision-making.

We offer a gross salary of €3200-3800 depending on experience, an additional teleworking and internet allowance, lunch vouchers, €500 of yearly personal development budget, a 13th month, and more advantages fully detailed in our Application Pack.

Organisational Structure

The secretariat of IGLYO is based in Brussels, Belgium, and comprises an 11-person team, working in a variety of different areas. We try to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment which is flexible and allows everyone to achieve their best work. Roles & Responsibilities

The Programmes Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all of IGLYO’s programmes, including the Activist Academy, international conferences, webinars and online workshops, capacity-building programmes, study visits, the IGLYO Grants Programme, and other programme-related activities.

The role also includes grant management and fundraising, line management of two staff members, and contributing to IGLYO’s strategic direction as a member of the Management Team.

General

  • Line-manage the Programmes Officer and the Projects and Events Officer.
  • Lead annual planning, coordination, and task delegation across the Programmes Team.
  • Develop new programmes and initiatives in line with IGLYO’s strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and organisational development of IGLYO as a member of the Management Team.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Event Management

  • Oversee the logistical planning and delivery of events in accordance with IGLYO’s accessibility and inclusion standards.
  • Liaise with venues, vendors, service providers, subcontractors, and IGLYO Member Organisations where relevant.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, registration, onboarding, and participant management processes for events.
  • Collaborate with the IGLYO Pool of Experts and other staff members to develop event programmes and agendas.
  • Liaise with speakers, trainers, facilitators, and other experts.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts and expenses in accordance with IGLYO’s financial procedures.
  • Create and manage budgets, and track expenses.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Ensure the implementation of safeguarding procedures, including the application of the IGLYO Code of Conduct and the Protocol on Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence.
  • Lead crisis management and resolve operational issues during programme delivery.

Education and Training

  • Oversee the management and development of the IGLYO Pool of Experts.
  • Develop workshops, learning materials, toolkits, and training content, using non-formal education methodologies and experiential learning approaches where appropriate.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other educational activities using non-formal education methods.

Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of donor-funded projects, including projects implemented as part of international consortia where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain project work plans and timelines.
  • Coordinate with project partners, donors, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with agreed work plans, budgets, contractual obligations, and donor requirements.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)

  • Lead the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) of IGLYO’s programmes.
  • Design and implement MEAL systems, including participant feedback mechanisms, impact measurement tools, and learning processes.
  • Analyse programme results and use evidence to improve programme quality and organisational learning.

Regranting

Oversee the implementation of the IGLYO Grants Programme, including:

  • Preparing calls for proposals, selection procedures, grant agreements, and project management templates in line with European Commission requirements.
  • Coordinating the grant selection process.
  • Organising capacity-building, peer-learning, and mentoring opportunities for grantees.
  • Supervising and supporting grantees throughout the implementation of their projects.
  • Coordinating reporting processes and grant payments.

Grant Management and Fundraising

Existing and Recurring Grants

  • Prepare funding proposals in collaboration with the wider IGLYO team (narrative and budget).
  • Ensure programme implementation complies with donor requirements and grant agreements.
  • Prepare narrative reports and contribute to financial reporting.
  • Maintain proactive communication with donors and funding partners.

New Funding Opportunities

  • Research, identify, and assess new funding opportunities.
  • Develop and propose new funding streams that align with IGLYO’s strategic priorities.
