Seconded National Expert in EUROSUR Fusion Services Sector/ Fusion Unit
(EIMB Intelligence Division)
Tasks and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Unit and under the supervision of the respective Head of Sector the main duties related to this position are:
To plan, prepare and manage the implementation and delivery of EUROSUR Fusion Services for authorised stakeholders;
To manage the allocated EUROSUR Fusion Service implementation and delivery cycle (including service operationalization) from a budgetary, operational and technical perspective;
To coordinate the implementation and delivery of the EFS services internally at Frontex and with external entities (other EU agencies, Member States, etc.);
To support internal and external users of EUROSUR Fusion Services;
To contribute to the preparation of training materials and provide training and coaching to users in Member States and at Frontex on the usage of EUROSUR Fusion Services;
To maintain and develop procedures, guidelines and other business documentations;
To perform any other task in the area of competence.
Selection criteria:
Professional qualifications, competencies and experience required:
Essential:
At least 5 years of experience in planning and conducting intelligence and surveillance activities, preferably by airborne or spaceborne sensors including data processing.
Excellent computer skills and ability to learn specialised software
Practical experience in implementing projects throughout the project cycle
Knowledge of the applicable legal framework (EBCG Regulation, EUROSUR Implementing
Regulation, Schengen Borders Code, European Integrated Border Management)
Experience related to drafting official documents, concept notes and procedures
Knowledge about the intelligence cycle and practical implementation
Assets:
Experience with Geographic Information Systems
Experience in imagery analysis and associated processes
Knowledge about air operations, air traffic management
Knowledge about systems integration and data fusion
Generic competencies required:
