What you’ll do
Starting date: early to mid-October 2026. The exact starting date is flexible and can be agreed upon based on availability.
You will work in the Projects team of ESN International and will be supervised by the Events and Projects Officer. The Projects team supports the Vice President for Development in fostering learning within ESN by organising and coordinating events and training opportunities.
The team also designs and implements projects in the youth field, focusing on the learning and competence development of volunteers through non-formal activities and capacity-building events. You will support the overall planning, implementation and reporting of projects and organisation of international events of ESN.
- Support the planning, implementation, and reporting of ongoing projects and activities of the Project and Partnership Department. Currently, the team works on projects in the following fields:
- Active Citizenship and Youth Participation
- Youth Work recognition
- Health & Well-being of International Students and Youth Workers
- Support the Project Officers with desk research and output creation.
- Support the organisation of training events for the volunteers and members of ESN;
- Help with the implementation of both internal and external projects related to training and development;
- Manage the production of education manuals/toolkits and Training Session Outlines in line with ESN’s projects;
- Support the development of non-formal learning processes, tools and opportunities in ESN;
- Assist the Board and Secretariat with other tasks that may arise at the HQ

Other requirements
Traineeship for a duration of 6 - 12 months (relatively flexible).
Must have an Erasmus+ traineeship grant. Please note that this is a mandatory requirement, as ESN does not have the means to cover any subsistence costs other than the ones mentioned in the bullet points below. Self-maintenance of the trainees is not an option, as ESN is a strong advocate for fair and paid traineeships and follows The European Quality Charter.
