Job Summary:
The People Strategy Business Partner will oversee PS operations for Europe-based staff, ensuring compliance with local labor laws while providing strategic PS support across payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a seasoned Human Resources (HR) generalist background who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The People Strategy Business Partner will maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
PS Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee labor contracts and keep track of timely renewals where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with EU labor laws and country-specific employment regulations.
- Conduct HR audits and maintain personnel files to ensure there is an English version of the document in staff’s personnel files.
- Oversee utilization and recordkeeping of employee leave programs such as vacation, sick leave, leave of absence; ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Recruitment & Onboarding, Offboarding:
- Coordinate all talent acquisition activities by providing overall recruitment guidance and support to hiring managers, interviewing candidates, and conducting reference checks.
- In conjunction with local office managers, develop and manage onboarding and offboarding logistics along with the office manager at any given location.
- Review and execute employee contracts along with office manager’s support.
- Conduct exit interviews with employees leaving voluntarily.
- Prepare and provide regular (quarterly) reports on the exit interview data.
- Provide support, resources, and guidance to hiring managers related to their onboarding activities.
Employee Relations & Development:
- Act as the primary PS contact for staff inquiries and policies.
- Conduct 30-60-90 day check-ins with new staff and hiring managers; prepare periodic reports of results and provide to HR DMD for review and decision making.
- Advise Director, PS of employee relations matters, recommend solutions and lead resolution efforts in conjunction with local managers.
- Advise Director, PS of skills development needs for Europe-based staff and implement relevant skills development programs; maintain skills development records.
HR Administration:
- Oversee HR-related documentation and ensure GDPR compliance.
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience in Europe.
- Strong knowledge of EU labor laws, payroll management, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency with HR systems and compliance reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
Salary:
€42,200 – €52,800
Contract:
This will be a 2-year fixed-term contract.
