CEER is seeking a Project Assistant (Intern), to join the CEER office in Brussels. The candidate should be available to start as soon as possible. CEER is offering a paid three-month internship, with the possibility of a one-time renewal, in line with Belgian labour law standards.

## About the Role

The Project Assistant would support our day-to-day work at the CEER Secretariat. This role is central to the operational and policy functions of the organisation. You will gain hands-on experience in the European energy sector by assisting with major CEER events, providing critical policy support to our working group coordinators, and supporting the work of the CEER Training Academy. This is an ideal first experience for a graduate looking to understand the intersection of energy regulation and EU public affairs.

## **Your Responsibilities:**

– Support the logistics and execution of CEER webinars and events, including speaker coordination and participant management.
– Assist in the day-to-day administrative functions and internal workflows of the CEER Secretariat to ensure smooth organisational operations.
– Support working group coordinators through legislative monitoring, stakeholder mapping, and drafting briefings or reports from meetings.
– Support the Communications Officer in managing social media presence, drafting newsletter content, and updating the CEER website.
– Provide dedicated assistance in the delivery, administration, and material preparation for the CEER Training Academy’s specialised courses.

## **Your profile**

– A young graduate looking for a first professional experience in EU affairs and energy.
– A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, EU Law, European Studies, or a related field.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other European languages is an asset.
– Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take initiative and handle multiple tasks effectively.
– Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a multicultural team environment.
– Based in Brussels or able to commit to being in Brussels for the duration of the internship.

## What We Offer

CEER offers a paid internship in line with Belgian labour law standards. The role is based in our modern, well-equipped office in Brussels, with flexible working arrangements. You will be joining a genuinely warm, welcoming and international team that takes pride in its collaborative spirit.

## Selection Process

Applications for the position must be submitted in English, consisting of a letter of motivation (maximum one page) and CV by Sunday, 17 May 2026 (23:59 PM) to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

For selected applicants, there will be an interview with the CEER Secretariat, conducted online if requested. Please note that interviews will be carried out on a rolling basis, and CEER may conclude the selection process before the deadline if a suitable candidate is identified.
