The European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) is a membership-based association that has been delivering judicial training excellence for 25 years. Our members and associate members are judicial training institutions from all European Union Member States as well as the Academy of European Law.
Our vision is to foster mutual trust between justice practitioners from across the EU and to contribute to creating a common European legal and judicial culture. We achieve this vision by providing networking opportunities for our members, associate members, observers, and partners, and by offering tailored training to all 400.000 judges, prosecutors, court staff, and judicial trainers in the EU.

## Your job in a nutshell…
As project coordinator for our Exchange & Training Unit, you are responsible for coordinating exchanges between judges, prosecutors, court staff of the EU Member States and organising study visits in key EJTN partner institutions to develop awareness and understanding of judicial best practices across the EU.
In this role, you will work closely with your colleagues in the Exchange & Training Unit and report to the Head of Unit and the reporting coordinator.
## Your key responsibilities
– You will coordinate the implementation of judicial exchanges organised in the framework of the EJTN Exchange Programme:
– You will support the launch of the calls for applications and allocate participants in line with the Exchange Programme allocation rules;
– You will ensure training activities meet agreed and organisational requirements, methodology, budgets and standards of quality;
– You will organise various study visits:
– Liaise with host institutions and service providers (e.g. catering companies, restaurants) to ensure the running of the training activity,
– Prepare ad-hoc required documentation (e.g. programme in cooperation with host institution, practical information),
– Attend training activities and ensure smooth activity roll-out by solving any query and issues on the spot.
– You will closely monitor the implementation of the training activities under your portfolio and regularly report to the Reporting coordinator for Exchanges and the Head of Unit;
– You will contribute to key Exchange Programme documents linked to your portfolio, i.e. guidelines to participants, evaluation forms, communication tools (website, newsletters, etc.);
– You will liaise with the EJTN members, associate members and partner institutions (e.g. call for applications, allocation, hosting package);
– You will liaise with participants to provide them with information and support (e.g. allocation, logistics, reimbursement) as well as the EJTN finance team to follow up on reimbursements (e.g. preparing reimbursement tables);
– You will provide qualitative and quantitative reports (e.g. analysis of post-activity feedback) to the reporting coordinator for Exchanges and the Head of Unit as appropriate (e.g. Annual report, Catalogue, NCP and Working Group meetings, General Assembly);
– You will review take-outs of reporting outcome, (Sub)Working Groups and other network bodies feedback and implement appropriate process changes in agreement with the Head of Unit;
– You will assume any other tasks entrusted/assigned by the Secretary General upon circumstances and commit to performing tasks in line with EJTN’s set of Rules, non-exhaustively: the Articles of Association, the Rules of Procedure, the Strategic Plan, the Corporate Financial Policy and deriving financial rules (procurement policy, rules on exceptions to travels), Work Regulations and Secretary General action plan.
## Desired competencies and experience
– You have one to three years of experience in project coordination in an international environment;
– You hold a degree in law, international relations, political science or related field, but this is not mandatory;
– You have a genuine interest in EJTN’s mission;
– You enjoy organisational and coordination tasks;
– You pride yourself in delivering high quality work, that your colleagues can rely on;
– You have impeccable ethics;
– You see yourself as a dynamic person who gets things done;
– You are comfortable working with various stakeholders, both internal and external;
– You have excellent organisation and planning skills with an eye for detail;

– You are proficient in the MS Office suite;
– You have excellent command of English, both verbal and written, as well as a very good working knowledge of French;

## Location & travel
This position is based in Brussels and encompasses 10% travel in the EU.
